Here we are in the final month of 2020. Instead of waiting for the turn of the calendar and 2021, I would encourage you to make a decision that this final month of 2020 will be filled with gratitude, kindness, and joy!
Make the decision to show up for yourself and to make progress in an area of your life that you want to transform. You do not have to wait until 2021. In fact, making that decision will create an amazing start to the new year.
Here’s what I’ve been into lately for my November Favorites:
What I’ve Been Reading and Listening To
Last month I listened to “The Surrender Experiment” and “I AM: The Power of Discovering How You Really Are.” Both were fantastic and if I had to pick one, I would say read or listen to “I AM.” I will be getting the physical book so I can re-read and highlight it.
I read “The Return” by Nicholas Sparks and “Troubles in Paradise” by Elin Hilderbrand. I loved both of them and if you are a Nicholas Sparks fan like me then definitely add this to your list. “Troubles in Paradise” was the third book in the paradise series and it was a great read to wrap up the trilogy!
What I’ve Been Wearing
Lots of comfy and warm clothes! I shared some of my favorites in my Gifts for the Hygge Lover gift guide.
What I’ve Been Eating
We have been making the Fall Breakfast Hash for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Honestly, I’ve lost count of the number of times we have eaten it!
I have also been enjoying a lot of herbal tea. My favorite brands are Traditional Medicinals and Republic of Tea. I order both brands from Thrive Market. Think of Thrive Market as a healthy online Costco. I buy almost all of our pantry items there.
What I’ve Been Watching
Emily in Paris, This Is Us, Sweet Magnolias, and season 2 of Virgin River. This line-up tells you the kind of shows I like to watch! If you are looking for something to watch these would be some of my picks. Maybe I’ll also read the Sweet Magnolias and/or Virgin River books!
How I’ve Been Relaxing
Burning non-toxic candles and taking lots of epsom salt baths. I discovered gold + ivy candles a few months ago and I love them plus I’m supporting another small business owner. My absolute favorite is the grey flannel!!! Trust me when I say that you will want to order the larger size.
For my epsom salt baths, I add 2-3 cups of epsom salt, 1-2 cups of baking soda, and 20 drops of essential oil. I get the water as hot as I can stand it and then soak for 20-30 minutes. You will experience the BEST sleep ever afterward! I use Serenity and Balance essential oils from doTerra.
Products I’ve Been Using
I want to share with you 2 personal care products that I have been using a lot of lately! I use this goop G.Tox Himalayan salt scalp scrub a 2-3 times per month and I love how clean my hair feels afterward! I was feeling like I had some product build-up and combing this with Beautycounter’s shampoo & conditioner has made a BIG difference.
The second product I want to share with you is the product that I can’t live without! It’s my island product. Meaning that if I could only take one product with me to an island it would be Beautycounter’s Cleansing Balm. This is the product that cleanses and moisturizes combating winter dry skin!
So many of you agree as it was my most ordered product last month! It is amazing for removing make-up leaving your skin feeling soft & hydrated. Plus you can use it for an overnight hydrating mask by applying a small amount all over your face before bed and leaving it on overnight. I do this about 2 times per week when it’s really cold! One last exciting thing is that we had Transformation Poles installed at The Club to expand on our programming while keeping everyone distanced and safe. We will be sharing more about them once we are able to host in-person workouts again as we are currently 100% virtual again.
As we move through this last month of the year, I hope you enjoy this season and choose gratitude and appreciation.
In Health & Happiness,
Janell
