In honor of St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, we wanted to share our Healthy Shamrock Shake recipe!

I’m pretty sure that Shamrock Shakes at McDonald’s have been available for weeks. Have you ever taken a look at the nutrition facts for one of those shakes?  It’s actually quite ALARMING!!! 

Here is just a little bit of what you will find…

  • 80 grams of SUGAR
  • 54 total ingredients
  • High fructose corn syrup
  • Food dyes
  • Obscure additives

That makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it.

Instead, try this healthier shamrock shake that has:

  • Healthy fat
  • 25 grams of protein
  • ZERO additives
  • Leafy greens
  • Powerful detoxifier

Just why are green veggies & Chlorophyll so important?

It turns out that it’s all in the chemistry.  Green coloration in plants is caused by the power pigment chlorophyll, which has some surprisingly fabulous effects on our bodies.  In a plant, chlorophyll is its energy powerhouse working to turn rays of sunlight into plant fuel, but once it gets off your plate and into your mouth, chlorophyll goes to work on you too!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ - 1 frozen banana
  • 3 scoops Eniva Natural Whey Protein Powder
  • ¼ - 1/2 avocado
  • 1 big handful of spinach
  • 1 tsp. Eniva Chlorophyll +
  • Optional: sprinkle Cacao Nibs on top

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend and ENJOY
